Looking Back: WPUniversity @ WordCamp Toronto 2013

WPUniversity at WordCamp Toronto 2013

WordCamp Toronto 2013 was a hit. We were happy to be a part of it! This was the largest WordCamp that Toronto has ever held. Over 400 people registered for the weekend, and 300+ of them piled into Humber College’s Lakeshore campus for two days of learning and working with WordPress.

Humber’s School of Media Studies & IT was a gracious host. The Humber IT team and security personnel were professional and helpful. The speakers were fantastic. The food was tasty – especially Sunday’s delicious onigiri from Abokichi (they’re looking for a new website, by the way!) Although the rooms could’ve been a bit bigger, there was plenty of space for attendees to mill about in common areas. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

We also had a demo table set up throughout the weekend for folks to try our Sidekick for WordPress plugin. We also gave away copies of our Intro to WordPress cheat sheet. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback! We hope you enjoyed the free candy. The Awake chocolate bars have kept us chugging along on many a late night. 🙂
